Family Futures runs an FASD consultation and advice service in collaboration with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, the consultation service is run by Dr Raja Mukherjee, consultant psychiatrist and internationally acclaimed lead expert in FASD.

Family Futures has a reputation for carrying out the most comprehensive and integrated therapy programmes for children who have experienced trauma or attachment difficulties and are living with adoptive or birth parents, foster carers or special guardians.

The Family Place

Many families across the South West have been supported with multi-disciplinary assessments funded through the Adoption Support Fund applied for through post adoption support. This in turn provides a comprehensive report of needs that can support the family, support the School, inform robust EHCP applications and provide information for other funding sources. 

The Family Place provides specialist and flexible therapeutic interventions for adoptive and looked-after families.  This approach is called The Family Place Model and is principally, but not exclusively, Theraplay®, DDP, Creative Arts Therapies and Sensory Processing work

The team specialises in providing tailored interventions for families and their support networks.


The Family Place are an Adoption Support Funded Registered Provision.

Epic Solutions

Based in Exeter Epic Solutions was established by South West Consultant Paediatrician Dr Karen Street & Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr Vicky Hill; the clinic has a strong local team including Dr Emma Millar Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Dr Rory Conn Consultant Psychiatrist, Louise Molodynski Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr Laurie Windsor Consultant Psychiatrist, Katy Mullin Speech and language Therapist, Tracey Wills Dramatherapist, Fran Lewis CBT Therapist, Julie Brough & Rachel Jones Family Therapists, Tracy Cole Senior Mental Health Practitioner.

"We are a Consultant led service and all our treatment plans begin with a specialist initial assessment. We offer Consultant Psychiatry for young people under the age of 18 and for young adults over the age of 18. Where indicated we can facilitate assessment/ treatment from other members of our team who work in partnership with our Consultants."

"We offer physical health assessment from our Consultant Paediatrician who has specialist expertise treating infants, children, young people and young adults up to the age of 25 years. We offer assessment for the complete range of Acute and Community Paediatric health needs."

Educational Psychologist

Julia has over 35 years experience in the education and health sectors delivering intervention, therapy and treatment programmes for a wide range of educational needs.


Many of our parents have used Julia for private Educational Psychology assessments & reports that reflect well on the scaffolding needed for FASD.
